Did you know that the prayers offered in the Temple during Bible times were actually sung?  Like the ancient Jews and the early Christians, we too believe that God uses music as a means to take us into the holy of holies and into His Presence.  And there is nothing better than to be in our Lord’s Presence!

Here at the Church @ Lake Harding we LOVE music and we love to sing.  We believe God uses music to reveal to us things about who He really is.  Putting God’s Word to music and singing about His truths makes it easier for us to remember who He is and what He has done for us. 

We believe that our God is a FUN God who wants His children to express their love for Him in a variety of ways.  We sing contemporary and traditional songs in our services from all genres so everyone can worship through the music Christ puts in their hearts.  We seek to be lead completely by the power of the Holy Spirit as we worship our Lord and Savior.  It is God’s vision for our church that we draw people into His presence through music. 

The praise team is primarily responsible for the contemporary part of the music ministry.  However, they also play with hymns during our Sunday morning worship services.  The praise team includes electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocals.  We depend on the moving of the Holy Spirit to guide us as we lead God’s people into His Presence through worship.  Our praise team’s goal is to serve our people and help them to engage God and hear what He has for them during the worship service.

The Rocky Mount choir is a vital part of our music ministry.  The men and women that make up the choir are fun to be around and fun to follow as they lead us in worship.  They are gifted as a choir and they provide us with many soloist.  In addition to blessing us with anointed specials, they also sing with our praise team and provide us with seasonal musicals.  They balance our music ministry by providing various styles of music for all to enjoy.

The Children's Choir is about teaching our children the true meaning of praise and worship at an early age.  We also make them a regular part of our Sunday worship services, so they can learn to be active in serving Christ.  And of course, it's about having FUN! 

Children are full of life and wonder and this can be experienced as they sing to Jesus.  It is always a joy to hear the children sing and you never know what they will do!

The children learn songs during our Wednesday night Children's Church.  We also rehearse on Sunday mornings prior to them singing.
